Community Equipment

At Enabled Living, we work in partnership with health and social care professionals such as occupational therapists and community nurses, to provide community equipment that helps maintain your independence or manage your health at home.

Whether you need to adapt your home to allow you to do your everyday activities or you are being discharged from hospital, we can provide community equipment that can help. We are committed to help you live a more independent, safe and comfortable life and stay in your home for as long as you choose.

Our Community Equipment

The type of equipment on loan can range from smaller things such as seat raisers, trays and trolleys to more complex items such as hoists and medical beds. On some occasions, we can also provide medical devices such as ventilators and syringe drivers.

How we work

Usually, we will hear from a local health and social care professional about your situation. They will then tell us more about your needs and will prescribe you a piece of equipment to help you in your home or with your hospital discharge.  Once approved, our community equipment is loaned to you free of charge for the length of time that you need it for.  For simple aids and equipment we now offer a click and collect service that allows customers to collect their equipment straight away from our Alpine Way location.  Where you require a delivery, our dedicated and friendly delivery team can provide this.  We know that small things can make a big difference.

Equipment Servicing

We also provide equipment servicing and testing for a range of medical equipment. Our comprehensive testing programme ensures that all our equipment meets safety standards and regulations.  Most of our equipment has automatic reminders, so as soon as it needs testing we will be in touch to arrange to come and see you.
